Starling Mall - The Shopping Mall Within A Park

Launched in May 2017, the area in Damansara Uptown has finally become the shopping destination for modern city people who favor shopping and relaxation. Starling Mall is the place to be as it is brand new and providing a whole new atmosphere to the shoppers around town. New ambiance and new shopping experience made Starling Mall the destination that you can be proud of.

I worked in that era not very long ago in 2013 till 2014 and found out that the area has been under development with the brand new MRT already running above my head and now with the help of Grab and Uber services, my transportation to Starling Mall is no longer exhausting. Seems like the modernization really starts to kick in isn't it? The mall area isn't as big as it nearby neighbor, 1 Utama but it is worth a visit.

When I visit it that time it is a week before Hari Raya and it happens that I need a place to cool off but it is way beyond my expectation. They have the supermarket where all my favorite Raya cookies are sold at very convenient price and on top of that, they are variety of packaging available. During that time people are already busy with their festive shopping so it is a big crowded.

The Event Section

The only thing that I noticed, they don't have any department stores like AEON or ISETAN over there so I thought it might be a hassle if you are looking for festive clothing during festive seasons. But for book lovers, be prepared to be at awe when you visit the largest BookXcess store chain because it is equipped with a cafe where you can just sit around while reading through pages of your book.

MyTown Shopping Center, The Pearl In The Center Of Kuala Lumpur Triangle!

Once the place is popular with its largest around Malaysia's IKEA, not it adds another fascinating shopping experience to the KL people around with the latest shopping mall in town that opened it's door on 16 March, MyTown Shopping Center. It looks as if it is attched with IKEA so what more could you ask for?

To my surprise the opening is really a grand one, something I rarely see throughout my career as a blogger and the atmosphere is highly anticipating. There are actually a lot of things that they manage to offer besides unlimited shopping spree. There are trucks selling foods which can make you full the whole day while you were there, entertainment that will keep you going on and prizes to be won.

For me who loved shopping, I believe that MyTown is a convenient place for me if you minus the traffic jam that occurred every time you head there during lunch hour. Fascinating offerings and variety of choices, you'll get your inner shopaholics screaming to let loose once you step into this amazing mall.

Although there are still a lot more to come here soon, still it is better than nothing. Although yes, I am a bit sad for not being shortlisted on the Goosey Selfie contest but still it given me the idea that there are a lot more for me and everyone else soon. So let's just keep our eyes opened for their every announcement soon!

Shoe Gallery, A Heavenly Sanctuary For Like Minded Shoe Lovers

I bet you have read this from many blogs who already been there and experience the shopping facility that this place has provided. Since I worked quite nearby this place and I often have a stroll inside this hyped shopping gallery, I decide to give myself a chance to absorb the atmosphere. Not really a shoe lover as I shop for shoes only once every 6 months.

I am more interested with the layout of the "Shoe Gallery" instead and knowing it is part of Parkson's initiative to bring another alternative shopping atmosphere to their customers, I guess they deserve a big clap. Not only we can spot a neat arrangement of shoes there but the way they did the interior designs are just so sophisticated. I feel like walking into Harrods or something, it manages to capture my eyes to walk my way into the gallery.

Shoe Gallery - The Look From Inside

There are few of the brands featured that I barely recognized but some of them are the brands that I used to. If you are familiar with all the brands there then it would be great because there are a lot of selection that will make you crazy in the end.

Another great thing, you can finally breathe freely as there are no more annoying salesman or salesgirl to follow you around while you are looking around for your shoes. Although I appreciate their help a lot but it feels more refreshing and calm when no one is actually following you around while you are navigating around.

So I leave you here with the enchanting atmosphere that I manage to capture while I was there. Enjoy the photos and hope you will visit it without too much hopes because you might later regret it. But for me it is an enticing sight to feast on an even if you are not buying anything, it is still worthwhile of your visit.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION AT 28 FIREPLACE COFFEE HOUSE

Wow today is another long day for me. Apparently working full time and being a part-time blogger do change me a lot and I have decided to put my effort on everything which I think will do something good for me and the rest. Normally I tend to skip my lunch because nothing is considered interesting can be found around my working area. I have been tasting almost the same food for the whole time I was there and I thought, it's time for me to try out something new.

The atmosphere which I gauge about

Lucky me, my boss suggested that we go for a late lunch at a vibrant coffee shop that served something that is out of your expectation, 28 Fireplace. The cozy coffee shop is located downtown near Persiaran Ampang and it is considered a well-hidden place where you can enjoy the real town shop atmosphere. It is rather tough to search for a perfect parking spot but our team manage to get away with it smoothly.

Taking your first step inside, it is a welcoming fragrance of coffee varieties which gives out an aromatic greeting to us all. For non-coffee lovers like me, trying out a meal here is something that I consider as a challenge because besides coffee, most of the beverages served in here are mostly something that I rarely tried at home. So my first time here will be a great opportunity to break free from my comfort zone.

My iced chocolate

First the drink that I ordered as recommended by my office mate, the iced chocolate and damn, it really doesn't taste like the common iced chocolate that I used to have elsewhere. The mild milky taste and the less sugary chocolate mixed well enough that I didn't notice that I finished it easily. There is no need for me to add any sugar or extra milk because the mixture they put is just perfect.

My Grilled Chicken & Presto Pasta

Next, my main meal is served in a delighted ambiance as everyone is hungry and waiting patiently for their meal to be served. The Grilled Chicken and Pesto Pasta is truly scrumptious and they are so generous with their ingredients there. It is rather a bit oily for me but I definitely loved the taste of cheese in there. The herbs and spices are just in the right amount that I can handle.

Next the birthday celebration which is the most anticipating event as I just loved birthday cake. My friend chosen the amazing Tiramisu cake which is filled with coffee, cream, chocolate, caramel sauce and plenty of nuts. I get crazy just by looking at it alone. But due to my restricted diet, I have to cut down to one slice only but it is definitely worth it.

Gathering to remember

I truly recommend this place if you want to search for a cozy and intimate place for gathering or meeting because you will get the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere which can clear your mind off your problem.

First thing people would consider when choosing their accommodation, is the location. Is the location ideal enough, easy access to popular attractions, famous restaurants and maybe the most important thing that people will look out for, if it was accessible through public transport? If the place has all that is mentioned above, there’s a high chance that people will opt for it considering what it has to offer.

2. BUDGET- AFFORDABLE

The next thing that people will put under consideration is the price, is it affordable and will it cause their budget to go overboard while spending their time there. If it was too pricey, then they will need to consider other factors also. If the price gets too low, then people will think something must be wrong with that place. The best option they will go normally is the affordable one where the price is not too high or too low just good for them and their budget.

Cleanliness should be an important factor to consider because we don’t think you can live in a dirty place even for a night.

As much as all the criteria stated above, you can’t stay away from the fact that the character of the hotel sometimes will draw you closer to it right?
