Publico Ristorante opens at The Quayside
The city’s freshest riverfront dining destination serves authentic Italian cuisine with a contemporary touch

Singapore, December 2017 – Representing the central core of Italian culture, Publico Ristorante has opened its doors to serve mouth-watering Italian dishes in a breezy setting overlooking the Singapore River. The restaurant is the third and final concept of the multi-faceted gourmet playground, PUBLICO, to open at The Quayside.

image005.png@01D36923.1F5878E0Interiors are inspired by modern Italian architecture, which is brought to life through intricate masonry details at the bar, a bold geometric granite floor from Italy, and custom furniture pieces made by award-winning New York design firm, AvroKO. A focal point of the indoor area are roaring twin pizza ovens, where a selection of bar seats are available to get up close to the action.

Taking inspiration from the al fresco piazzas dotted along Italy’s coastline, floor to ceiling windows and doors flow open onto the leafy terrace to give the illusion of a garden experience from the indoor dining area. The interior design further blurs the line between inside and out with oversized earthen and concrete planters sprinkled throughout, and a sprawling wine bar on the periphery of the venue with large windows that cantilever open to the terrace - an elegant riverside dining destination with soft lighting and lush greenery.

Menu highlights include the signature Risotto “alla Milanese” with saffron, pecorino cheese and red wine reduction, and wood fired pizzas including the Baci e Ricotto - a delicious creation of homemade tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, smoked scamorza, shavings of pork belly and crumbled ricotta. The authentic yet contemporary menu was imagined by Executive Chef Marco Turatti, who refined his expertise in culinary institutions across Italy, before bringing his personalised Italian touch to Publico Ristorante. To complement the food menu, the curated wine list takes guests on a journey through Italy, from full bodied Chiantis from Tuscany to crisp white Pinot Grigios from Friuli, while the sophisticated drinks menu features housemade Vermouth and artisan cocktails such as Negronis on tap.

As the third concept in a trio of Italian dining experiences, the Ristorante is joined by Publico Deli, a rustic establishment reminiscent of the bustling eateries and pavement cafes of Italian neighbourhoods. After dark, Publico Deli undergoes a metamorphosis into two new concepts. This day-to-night transition turns the venue into a sophisticated night-time destination: the front half, signposted by the neon PUBLICO DELI sign, serves indulgent Italian sweet treats, such as the house special Tiramisu pots. Hidden behind the back wall of the Dessert Café, neighbourhood bar Marcello creates Italian craft cocktails inspired by the early to mid 20th century. Marcello emanates the glamour of 1960’s Milan, and with Southeast Asia’s largest collection of Amari, it’s the city’s best kept secret to start or end an evening in style.

Publico Ristorante is open for dinner every night, 6pm to 11pm.

C & C Your New Heaven For Cookies And Coffees Lover

Earlier I am a fan of Famous Amos because I am a maniac when talking about cookies especially chocolate chip. But now I just found my new love interest with C & C a brand new cookie and coffee outlet that just opened in Setapak Sentral quite nearby to where I am residing right now.

Once you stepped inside the mall, you will first come face to face with the  C & C outlet stall and you will not miss the friendly staff greeting you from afar besides the overpowering aroma of freshly baked cookies around you. You can see the various selection of cookies is available in front of you. All you have to do was scoop it and pour them into the packet that you can choose from two available sizes.

There are chocolate chip cookies, the normal Danish resemblance and also plain butter cookies which were among my favorite. You will also notice the chocolate chip poured over the cookies which made them so irresistible and you will not rest until you manage to have them all.

Prices ranged from RM21++ for the family pack and RM17++ for the sharing pack that you can share with your friends. You can also bring them for travel purpose and anywhere you want to go because the packet is safe and there is also clipped lid for the packet that the cookies will still fresh even after a week.

5 Criteria Of An Ideal Accommodation In Kuala Lumpur

5 Criteria Of An Ideal Accommodation In Kuala Lumpur
You are finally landed in your desired destination and yet you still are up for a few lookouts especially your accommodations, or the place where you will be staying for a while. For honeymooners and families alike, the type of accommodations really have a big influences to their preference to stay because they need a comfortable space for each of them and privacy that will come together with what they have booked. Different with backpackers, most of them don’t really care much about the type of accommodations being offered just enough that it is clean and comfortable to stay. Here are a few criteria that people will look for when choosing their accommodation:

1. LOCATION
First thing people would consider when choosing their accommodation, is the location. Is the location ideal enough, easy access to popular attractions, famous restaurants and maybe the most important thing that people will look out for, if it was accessible through public transport? If the place has all that is mentioned above, there’s a high chance that people will opt for it considering what it has to offer.

2. BUDGET- AFFORDABLE
The next thing that people will put under consideration is the price, is it affordable and will it cause their budget to go overboard while spending their time there. If it was too pricey, then they will need to consider other factors also. If the price gets too low, then people will think something must be wrong with that place. The best option they will go normally is the affordable one where the price is not too high or too low just good for them and their budget.

3. FACILITIES
Everyone will be looking for different sort of facilities that a certain hotel would have to offer. Also it can be served according to the price as some of the facilities come with a package which will go together with the price. For example Wi-Fi is the important need these days including other facilities such as shower, small fridge and television so without these, the stay won’t be any good at all.

4. CONDITION OF THE HOTEL
Yes, this should be a must to be considered every time you are choosing a place to stay even it is just for overnight. The condition of the hotel play as much as an important role to determine whether it can be a perfect place to stay for the night or else. Cleanliness should be an important factor to consider because we don’t think you can live in a dirty place even for a night.

5. CHARACTERISTICS

As much as all the criteria stated above, you can’t stay away from the fact that the character of the hotel sometimes will draw you closer to it right? If the hotel has its own history, which can definitely make the place more intriguing for the visitors, the more people will get drawn into such place because it is full with character and having their own story to tell will make the entire place so much fascinating to visit and stay.
